| Terms
& Conditions of Booking for Roots Travel |
| 1.
Contract |
| By making
a contract with Roots Travel (referred to in these booking conditions
as "we or us") you will be accepting these booking conditions
on behalf of yourself and all other persons using our services
pursuant to a booking made by you. |
| 2.
Payment for Scheduled Tours |
| We
accept payment in cash, credit card (AMEX, MasterCard, Visa) and
a variety of debit cards. There is no charge for credit / debit
card payments. Payment is due before a tour commences either in
advance or on the day. Cash payments on the day are acceptable
on condition that credit / debit card details are given in advance
to guarantee the reservation. Your card will be charged 100% of
the tour cost should you not attend on the day of the tour - see
"3. Refunds / Cancellations for Scheduled Tours" below.
Entrance Fees to museums and attractions are not included, unless
otherwise stated. |
| 3.
Refunds / Cancellations for Scheduled Tours |
| You must
inform us in writing as soon as possible if you wish to cancel
a tour, returning to us or the ticket agent from where you bought
your ticket any tickets already issued. Cancellation fees will
be charged as follows: |

For
tickets bought from an agency:
|
|
Cancellations
made up to 28 days prior to departure - 0% of total cost of
tour.
|
|
Cancellations
made within 14~28 days prior to departure - 25% of total cost
of tour.
|
|
Cancellations
made within 7~14 days prior to departure - 50% of total cost
of tour.
|
|
Cancellations
made within 2~7 days prior to departure - 75% of total cost
of tour.
|
|
Cancellations
made within 48 hours of departure - 100% of total cost of tour.
|
|
For
tickets bought online:
|
|
Tickets
purchased online are non-refundable unless we are able to resell
your ticket.
|
| Where
we cancel the tour before departure, then we will refund all monies
paid by you. You will not be entitled to any compensation for
the loss of the tour. |
| Amendments
or name changes to confirmed bookings may be made without penalty
on condition that they are made at least 48 hours prior to departure.
Changes within 48 hours are subject to a £10 administration
fee. |
| 4.
Payment for Private Tours / Transfers |
| We
accept payment by bank transfer (please contact us for details),
cash, credit card (AMEX, MasterCard, Visa) and a variety of debit
cards. Payment
by credit card incurs a 2% charge (AMEX +3%). |
| 5.
Refunds / Cancellations for Private Tours / Transfers |
| You must
inform us in writing as soon as possible if you wish to cancel
a tour or transfer. Cancellation fees will be charged as follows: |

Cancellations
made up to 28 days prior to departure - 0% of total cost of
tour / transfer.

Cancellations
made within 14~28 days prior to departure - 25% of total cost
of tour / transfer.

Cancellations
made within 7~14 days prior to departure - 50% of total cost
of tour / transfer.

Cancellations

of tour / transfer.

Cancellations

/ transfer.

| Where we
cancel the tour before departure, then we will refund all monies

| 6.
Insurance |
| You are advised
to take out insurance to cover you in the event that you have
to cancel your booking or to compensate you for delays and/or
damage to your property. We recommend that you make arrangements
with an insurance specialist to obtain sufficient cover. |
| 7.
Departures |
| It is the
passenger's responsibility to arrive at your chosen departure
point in good time. The time stated on your e-ticket is the time
of departure. You will not be entitled to a refund should you
arrive later than the stated departure time. There are no refunds
for unforeseen circumstances such as delays due to heavy traffic
conditions, inclement weather etc. |
| 8.
Travel Documentation |
| You are responsible
for ensuring the possession and validity of any required travel
documentation. However, Roots Travel does not operate international
tours so it is unlikely that any travel documentation will be
required other than the travel ticket issued by Roots Travel or
one of its ticket agents. |
| 9.
Variation of Brochure/Alteration of tour |
| We reserve
the right to vary the services described in our brochures prior
to booking. You will be notified of these changes before you are
committed to the tour. You have the right to cancel your booking
with no penalty should we vary the tour after you have made your
booking, but only before departure. |
| 10.
Behaviour |
| You will
be responsible for the conduct of yourself and all members of
your party and you will indemnify us against any liability for
damage caused by you or any members of your party. We reserve
the right to terminate the tour in the event of behaviour deemed
to be unreasonable by our staff. |
| 11.
Complaints |
| In the unlikely
event that you have reason to complain you must immediately inform
your Roots Travel driver-guide who will attempt to resolve your
complaint immediately. If this is not possible, please contact
us in writing with details of your complaint within 14 days of
your tour. We undertake to deal promptly with all correspondence
relating to complaints. |
