Overview |
| |
Brighton
is the UK's premier seaside town. Once the retreat for the London
elite it is now a bohemian town of grand buildings, narrow winding
shopping streets, amusement arcades on the pier and a wonderful
beach. With a pedigree history and plenty to see and do, Brighton
can entertain on a warm, sunny summer's day or a cold, wet afternoon
in mid-winter! |

We
head south from Cambridge for the fast journey to the south coast.
On arrival in the impressive city of Brighton you will have plenty
of time to visit all the sights, be entertained on the quintessentially
British pier, or relax in the many atmospheric cafes. Visit the
opulent Royal Pavilion, once the seaside retreat of King George
III, built in many different architectural styles. Browse the shops
in the labyrinthine Lanes district of the city or head to bohemian
streets of Kensington Gardens. If the sea attracts you, why not
visit the Sea Life Centre with its aquaria or, if the weather is
good, take a bracing dip in the sea or marvel at the wonders of
the nudist beach! The route home is a fast one to be back in Cambridge
mid-evening. |
