The Globe Theatre in London is the best place in the world to watch Shakespeare!

The Globe Theatre on the south bank of the River Thames in central London is an exact replica of the original theatre which hosted plays written by William Shakespeare in the 16th century. The performances are by the Royal Shakespeare Company and are wonderful adaptations of the writer's best works. The theatre, made from wood and thatch, allows the audience to stand very close to the stage giving you the best view possible.
  Plan for the day
First we head to Covent Garden in central London where you will have time to find something to eat, browse the many shops, go sightseeing, or simply watch the street entertainers. Afterwards, you will be collected and taken to the theatre where your driver-guide will explain to you the basics of the play. Return to Cambridge immediately after the play has finished.
