Why go? The Globe Theatre on the south bank of the River Thames in central London is an exact replica of the original theatre which hosted plays written by William Shakespeare in the 16th century. The performances are by the Royal Shakespeare Company and are wonderful adaptations of the writer's best works. The theatre, made from wood and thatch, allows the audience to stand very close to the stage giving you the best view possible. The best place to watch a Shakespeare play anywhere in the world is at the Globe Theatre!
