Plan
for the day
|
We
head first to SW London, to the banks of the River Thames and Henry
VIII's magnificent palace at Hampton. On arrival, there will be
a short introductory talk to explain the importance of the Palace
and to put what you are about to see in context. Free time to spend
exploring the many State rooms and apartments that the Kings used.
Then venture outside into the wonderful gardens that follow the
banks of the River Thames, and try to solve the intricate maze.
Then on into central London through some of the more salubrious
districts of the capital where there will be free time to spend
enjoying sightseeing or shopping. Return to Cambridge early evening. |
