What
can I see?
- Norwich,
the capital of East Anglia
- Wonderful
Cathedral and Castle in the city
- Great
shopping
- Seals,
lots of them!
| | |
|
90%
of the world's grey seals live around the coast of the UK. This
trip includes a boat trip to see the seals as they rest on the
sandbanks of the north Norfolk coast. Then on to Norwich, in mediaeval
times the second richest city in Britain, now famous for its cathedral,
castle and great shopping.

Plan
for the day
|
Leave
Cambridge for the North Norfolk Coast, with its large expanses of
sandy beach and pretty seaside villages. On
arrival at Morston Quay
we board a boat which takes us out along Blakeney Point Nature Reserve
to the end of the estuary where the seals congregate. The boat will
not travel out into the open sea. Whatever the season, it can be
cold on the boat so dress appropriately. Sailing times depend on
the tide. Afterwards,
we head along the coast through some old seaside towns and then
inland to Norwich, the capital of the East Anglia region.
Sample the delights of the wonderful cathedral, the castle which
overlooks the city and the fabulous shopping of the narrow city
centre streets. Afterwards,
we make the journey back to Cambridge. Please
note that the trip may be made in reverse depending on seal-watching
