Duxford
is Europe's premier aviation museum also housing one of the
finest collections of tanks and military vehicles in the country.
Duxford began as an airfield in the First World War and also
played a vital role in the Second World War, firstly as an RAF
fighter station and later as an American fighter base.

include The American Air Museum, a memorial to the 30,000 Americans
who died flying from the UK in the Second World War. This outstanding
example of contemporary British architecture houses Duxford's
unique collection of historic American combat aircraft, with many
suspended from the ceiling as if in flight. Check the War Museum
